With Fizzi SodaStream you can make your own sparkling water at home whenever you want. You can start with tap water, your favourite bottled water or the flavours you want. Whether you drink a lot of sparkling water or an occasional soft drink, with Fizzi you can enjoy a fraction of the value of the brands you buy in-store without having to buy heavy bottles and deliver them to your home.
Description and characteristics
SodaStream has been making such products for some time, and Fizzi is one of the most popular. It is a small, slim and compact high profile kitchen appliance that measures only about 6x8x18 inches. So you can easily store or set it up in your kitchen or office without disturbing it. You can even pack it up for a holiday or family trip.
It comes in a kit with… :
- Producer of soda water
- Durable, reusable 1-litre BPA-free plastic bottle with lid
- The reusable CO2 carbonator is very suitable for the production of 9 litres of water. It is possible to purchase a larger refillable carbonator with a capacity of 60 litres (a coupon for this additional purchase is included in the packaging).
- Instruction booklet
It can be used with different bottle sizes, from batch bottles to practical 0.5 litre bottles. If you are not sure of compatibility, you can find a graph on the SodaStream website that shows which bottles work.
Fizzi’s beautiful black design is surprisingly light and weighs 1.5 kg. If you want, you can often find it in white. It requires no electricity or batteries, just a pressurised CO2 cartridge, so it carbonises your cold drink in just a few seconds when you need it, every time.
It is equipped with a SodaStrean snap-on closure system that allows quick and easy attachment of closed bottles. Simply press the carbonation button, usually three or seven times, depending on the desired amount of carbonation. It also contains a noiseless valve to limit any pressure noise to a soft grip.
SodaStream makes excellent products for households who love their sparkling water, and Fizzi is one of the best products they have invented. It’s easy to use, and the more you use it, the more you save on bottle brands. Obtaining high quality sparkling water for less than half the usual price is certainly a big advantage. SodaStream produces more expensive models, but Fizzi is the most economical. The sleek design, ease of use and attractive style make it easy to leave the bottle on the counter. For best results, however, make sure that the bottle and the liquid it contains are cooled down before carbonation.
The user manual is very simple and consists mainly of pictures, but don’t worry. It is very easy to set up and use. In a few minutes you can go from delivery to a glass of seltzer. And if you choose the 60-litre carbonation option, you don’t have to worry so much about the change/end of CO2.
The pressure closure design for cylinder mounting is a simple front, tilt, plug-in and clamp construction that works without any problems and is not present with many similar products. This forces you to screw in threaded cylinders by hand, which can lead to leaks and spills. The CO2-button is another good function, but you may have to do some experiments, because you can’t know in advance how much carbonation you will get.
She’s not safe from fools. If you like a strong soda, it is easy to exaggerate and lose soda due to excessive pressure. The high pressure also makes it difficult to remove the cylinder. Paid to gently loosen the bottle. And don’t forget that it is mainly made of plastic, so it won’t tolerate much abuse for a long time. Otherwise you won’t get a seal, not even with a click lock. However, a SodaStream product usually lasts for years, and it’s a good product.
SodaStream Fizzi does exactly what it’s supposed to do: simply and quickly produce good sparkling water. You can add syrups, fruit juices or flavors to make any type of soda or seltzer. Keeping your recipes healthy is also a huge improvement over candy brands.
Fizzi is so comfortable in the house that you feel just as comfortable, even if you weren’t a big soda drinker before. And not only is more water good for you, but you will also enjoy every sip of Fizzi SodaStream.

Above all, SodaStream is easy to use and uses CO2 cartridges. But I soon realized that you shouldn’t overfill the bottles, otherwise they’d leak. Taste tests are normal. But to my taste, they’re a little weak. I prefer aromatic powders.

Our family loves to drink sparkling water. So it would be better to have SodaStream and make your own instead of constantly spending money to buy it in a store. The device is so easy to use. My Fizzy was ready in minutes. It’s also the right size to fit on my counter, and it’s so beautiful. Each CO2 cartridge contains enough gas to carbonize 60 litres of water. The tiltable and lockable bottle lock is also much better than the swivel load variants used in the soda producers’ models. I also like the fact that all I have to do is press a button to select the desired carbonation level. I bought extra bottles so I could make sparkling water for the fridge.

I love this product. I’m on a special diet, so I can’t drink the soft drinks that are readily available. Fizzy is perfect. I just add cold tap water and a little lemon juice and I get a refreshing drink with no added sugar or artificial sweeteners. SodaStream gives me the bladder repair I need.

Our family loves SodaStream. At first I thought they were just good at making pop music. But I soon found out that the car actually produces soda water. Fizzi saves us the purchase in the store. We started experimenting by making our own flavoured water from natural fruit. I also paid and had a few extra CO2 cartridges in reserve. That way we don’t have to rush to get new supplies. We still have a lot of CO2 and can replenish the rest.
I’m very happy with this car. It’s so easy to use. At first I couldn’t get the carbonated water right. I soon realized that using cold water was a trick. Press and hold the carbon button and release it a little to keep the gas pumping. When you hear a puff, the process is complete. Repeat this operation, if desired, to obtain the correct degree of carbonation. I now have less than half my soda expenditure at home. I also got cartridges to refuel. So I’m not taking them back to the store to do business. With SodaStream I save time and money.

They’re not selling me a clip-on bottle holder. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I know I don’t put too much CO2 in it. I usually use up to three strokes. I’ll take the bottle out and wait for the release. But it seems that it’s taking too long and that water is still splashing at the moment of release.

Buyers are wary of where you get your model from. My first SodaStream was equipped with a miniature CO2 cartridge. You won’t be able to enjoy the soda water for long. I have added another SodaStream to my collection, which comes with a 60 litre cartridge. Since then, I have decided to stock a few extra CO2 cartridges for each of my soda manufacturers.

I don’t understand the three buttons on my car. All the videos I saw were just one button. The water is sprayed everywhere and the bottle is filled only up to the line. Instructions unintelligible. Do you have any suggestions?

Fizzi bought and what a smelly product. It doesn’t burn, not even with 7 pumps. And there’s water everywhere. He’s coming back. Unfortunately we will buy canned lemonade because it costs nothing.

I’m not impressed right now. From what I see and taste, there’s no charring. I don’t know if it’s the ball or if I’m doing something wrong. He arrived without instructions and had to go online to see how to use it.

Always use cold water for carbonation.
The use of hot water or plush water reduces the number of bubbles.
